Why We Started

Striven was built on one simple belief — that every parent deserves the tools to show up as the best version of themselves for their family.

We started Striven because we understood the guilt firsthand. The moment after you lose your temper and see the look on your child's face. The apology you make for the tenth time. The promise to yourself that it won't happen again — and then it does. Not because you are a bad parent. But because nobody ever taught you how to manage the fire that builds up inside when life gets overwhelming and the kids won't stop pushing your buttons.

We spent a long time looking for something that actually worked. Not meditation apps or vague breathing exercises. A real practical guide written specifically for parents that explained why we explode, what is actually driving our anger and how to change it in a way that lasts.

That search led us to Anger Management For Explosive Parents by Remington James. The moment we read it we knew this was different. Honest, practical and written by someone who genuinely understands what parents go through — it gave us the strategies we had been looking for our whole parenting lives.

At Striven we only share resources that make a real difference. Our name means to try hard and keep going — and that is exactly what every parent reading this is already doing. We are here to make sure that effort finally pays off.

Because your kids don't need a perfect parent. They just need a calmer one.
